Powdercoating for Boat Loader Roof Racks

At EPC Coatings, we're committed to delivering long-lasting surface protection with a finish that performs as well as it looks. Our recent project with a custom-built boat loader roof rack is a great example of that commitment in action.
Project Overview
A client required a robust, corrosion-resistant finish for a precision-engineered boat loader rack — designed to withstand the rigours of off-road travel and exposure to the harsh Australian elements. Our team was engaged to carry out full surface preparation and powdercoating, ensuring both structural integrity and a professional appearance.
Our Process
- Surface Prep: We began with a chemical clean followed by a chemical etch to remove contaminants and create a suitable surface profile for strong coating adhesion.
- Powder Application: The rack was then powdercoated in a textured black finish - chosen for its durability, UV resistance, and aesthetic appeal. This coating offers exceptional resistance to chipping, scratching, and corrosion.
- Curing: The piece was baked in our controlled environment, ensuring consistent coverage and a tough, hard-wearing finish built to last in extreme conditions.
The Result
The finished boat loader roof rack is not only built for function but now protected for longevity. Our powdercoating gives it the resilience needed for rugged outdoor use while enhancing its overall look with a sleek, matte finish.
Why Powdercoating?
For projects like this, powdercoating is the ideal choice. It delivers superior environmental resistance, is more sustainable than liquid paints, and provides a thicker, more uniform coating without runs or drips.
